Wu Yize and Mark Allen produced a gripping session earlier today to finish tied at 11-11, perfectly setting up this evening’s final session.
Resuming at 7-7 on Saturday, the third session was a stark contrast to Friday’s marathon, which included the longest frame in the tournament’s history.
Wu took early control with a superb 142, adding a 76 and 121 to lead 10-8 at the interval.
Allen, bidding to become a first Northern Irishman to reach the final since 1985, responded with breaks of 56, 85 and 99 to draw level at 10-10.
Wu, 22, hit back with a 140 break – his third century of the session.
